Plaque presented to Cr Hutton in recognition of council support for Sri Lanka Day

The Federation of Sri Lankan Organisations of Queenland presented Councillor Sarah Hutton (Jamboree Ward) with a plaque in appreciation of the Brisbane City Council’s support of the inaugural Sri Lanka Day on November 13, 2021 .

The event, generously supported by council and the Department of Multicultural Affairs, was organised by the FSOQ in collaboration with its eight member organisations. It showcased Sri Lankan food stalls, cultural activities and family entertainment at the Rocks Riverside Park, Seventeen Mile Rocks.

It was well attended by the wider Brisbane community.
